Subject: Stoughton Double Donation Fundraiser and Family Event

Hello there, 

I am writing to you today in regard to the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce’s recent decisions involving the explosion that occurred recently in downtown Stoughton. It was decided that they will be hosting a fundraising event in order to help local businesses that were affected by this tragedy bounce back. They have decided they will be doubling every donation that is given during this upcoming fundraiser.

Matched with that, we are working to create a family-friendly event with games, prizes, additional fundraising, and more for all of the Stoughton community. Proceeds will go to help the local families affected. The goal is to raise awareness for the fundraiser and hopefully boost morale and excitement among community members who have been negatively impacted by the event. Knowing how widespread the coverage has been for this, surrounding communities will also be encouraged to attend and help if possible. 

Given one of the regular features you do, “Do Something Good”, this might be the perfect opportunity to announce the event and cover it in conjunction with the fundraiser. This could do a lot for the community. Knowing how important your family and your son Gio are to you, we could definitely arrange something for your family to help partake in this fun event too.

If you would be able to respond within the next few days that would be excellent. Because we want to have the money from the fundraising go to the people that need it immediately, we are willing to offer exclusivity as we haven’t released this information yet.
